Straight: Minimal cuts, lowest waste. Standard 5-10%.

Diagonal (45°): More edge cuts needed. Add 10-15% extra.

Herringbone: Complex cuts at edges. Add 10-15% extra.

Grout consumption varies by joint width and tile size. Typical range: 0.3–1.5 kg/m². Narrow joints (2 mm) with large tiles use the least.
